Photo of the day
Another view of my favorite Miami Beach lifeguard shack
and on a dark night. The only light comes from the distant city lights and the long exposure. This couple were totally invisible at the time in the dark (or so they thought).

Photo of the day
I stumbled upon this jazz band doing a promo shootout in South Point Park (Miami Beach), so I did my own set of pictures (more at my gallery).

Faith in Action
Because, to paraphrase Bill Hicks, nothing says “faith in Almighty God” like three inches of bullet-proof plexi-glass…

JIMMY KIMMEL: The Tea Party and Masturbation
Jimmy Kimmel examines the political chances of a woman who's against masturbation.
"I have a feeling Christine O'Donnell opposes masturbation in the same way Bristol Palin opposes pre-marital sex."

Fun in FSX
Besides photography, my other hobby for leisure time is FSX Flight Simulator.
There are countless commercials sceneries and planes that beat the default (which is pretty good to begin with) by a country mile.
Here are a few recent shots:
PBY Catalina around the San Juan Islands, near Friday Harbor.
L19 Bird Dog departing Tacoma Narrows
Tiger Moth in Southern Washington state, near WA79 field
PBY Catalina: by Aerosoft
Bird Dog: by Sibwings
Tiger Moth: Freeware by Anthony Lynch
Scenery: Pacific Northwest (PNW) by Orbx
Sky: Rex2 Overdrive
Flight Simulator: FSX by Microsoft

787 in Ft. Lauderdale today
A friend alerted me the Boeing 787 would be in Ft. Lauderdale for three days for humidity testing.
I don't know why they picked Lauderdale for humidity.
The shot was tough. Too far away and many shots had pavement heat shimmering.
They also had this NASA Drysden hurricane research plane. Also too far away with shimmering problems. This is the best I could do.

RSS aggregator recommendation?
I found out today, with sadness, that my trusted Bloglines.com is shutting down on October 1st, 2010.
I have used Bloglines for years, well before Ask.com bought them in 2005. It is a free, clean interface and easy to use aggregator.
I exported all my Blogroll to an OPML file. Now I have to find a replacement. I have not had time to test, nor do I want to spend that much time into this anyhow.
I heard of:
- AmphetaDesk
- FeedDemon
- FeedReader
- NewsGator
- Google Reader
I am looking for a simple, clean interface aggregator for Windows, and of course free. It might be better as a web interface, rather than an EXE, as it can then be accessed on the road, but that is not a killer issue. Any recommendations?
