PBS CEO Paula Kerger fires back at Romney

BigBird99

"With the enormous problems facing our country, the fact that we are the focus is just unbelievable to me," she said. Later, she called it a "stunning moment."

Noting that the debate touched on education, she called PBS "America's biggest classroom," adding, "This is not about the budget. It has to be about politics."

You realize that PBS does not receive money directly from the Federal Government. The money goes to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which in turn distributes the money among the member stations.

The budget for PBS is $444 million. That is but a tiny fraction of a fraction of the federal budget (it is 0.00014%). Does Romney wants us to Believe that cutting PBS, an educational channel will help the budget deficit?
