We were shooting some wood storks and egrets on the ground the other day at Merritt
Island NWR when somebody says "Incoming!" and in fly these majestic white pelicans in formation. Did a flyby in front of us and continued on. You can see more shots of them here, here and here.

Some good pix here, Alex. You're lucky to have such exotic wildlife to hand. Is photographingh birds your main interest?

ReplyDeleteBirds are my main subject lately. There are several wetlands within driving distance (this is Florida after all), and winter is the season. You do not want to visit wetlands in summer with heat, high humidity and where the mosquitoes are sometimes bigger than the birds.
Winter has very pleasant temperatures, no mosquitoes at all, and many more birds that migrated South for the season.
