The building is officially known as the Gooderham Building, but commonly referred to as the Flatiron Building.It predates the Flatiron Buildings in Atlanta (by five years) and New York (by ten years).

Toronto is a beautiful town, one of my favorites. This is my sixth time visiting, though I had not been there for over eight years.

Roger at LensRentals.com has a great article on the State of the SLR Market - 2009. In it he uses his knowledge and contacts as a digital camera consumer, but with more buying power than most of us (they buy 80-140 SLR lenses a month), and explains why there is a perennial shortage of inventory on some lenses everywhere you look, even at the superstores, and while the prices have gone up so much this year, in the midst of a recession. An excellent read.
