Critical patch for MS vulnerability
I have received notice (Oct 23) of a critical patch released today for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, (not critical for Vista and Windows Server 2008 but catalogued as Important there due to the UAC).
This is unusual as it is out of the normal Tuesday patch release cycle. According to Microsoft Security Bulletin MS08-067 this vulnerability in a server service could allow a specially crafted RPC request to run remote code in your server without authentication.
Be aware. Be safe.

Now I'm confused. What is it that the VP does?
Gov. Sarah Palin does explain it to us, as to 3rd graders, but unfortunately, after a few tries she still has it wrong. All you have to do Governor, is read the Constitution. It's easy in the Internets:
Article I, Section 3:
"The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no vote, unless they be equally divided."
Article 2, Section 1:
"In case of the removal of the President from Office, or of his death, resignation, or inability to discharge the Powers and Duties of the said Office, the same shall devolve on the Vice President"
Amendment XXV - Section 1:
"In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President."

The power of noodles
A Chinese chef makes noodles by hand. Interestingly I have seen that done once in a Chinese restaurant many years ago. Amazing to watch.
