The state of the art in flight simulation for home today

Watch this beautiful video of ORBX’s Caloundra, an airfield in NE Australia. I love to fly this area, represented so beautifully.I am always amazed with the quality of this company’s payware sceneries (which I have installed some time ago).

Watch in in YouTube in HD instead.

Frigate bird
These guys are are around here and hard to catch as they fly high and far from shore. This one came close enough to the beach.

New safety video from the Victorian Government.

Video posted by John (aka nojwood), a fellow FSX flier from Australia.

His intro:

“The Victorian Government (Australia), fed up with slow-poke pilots who take forever to land, has released a series on how to get down fast, effectively and with maximum outback-style safety.  This episode, number 22 in a series, covers the approach and landing into Porepunkah, the gateway to Mount Buffalo and the surrounding national park.”

Well done John! Great safety instructions, good flying and love you Aussie accent!

Feeding frenzy

There was a school of sardines and the birds went crazy. A little off-shore on the ocean so I couldn't get closer (shot from the beach).

FSX can be stunning, and not only for flight

Ferrari runs away

Sometimes talented people create amazing videos (watch in HD). Everybody associates FSX with flight . After all, it is Microsoft Flight Simulator. What you may not know is that besides excellent after-market sceneries (here ORBX’s Brisbane), and planes (Captain Sim’s C-130 Hercules) there are also cars you can use.

Sit back and enjoy.
