787 in Ft. Lauderdale today

A friend alerted me the Boeing 787 would be in Ft. Lauderdale for three days for humidity testing.

I don't know why they picked Lauderdale for humidity.

The shot was tough. Too far away and many shots had pavement heat shimmering.

They also had this NASA Drysden hurricane research plane. Also too far away with shimmering problems. This is the best I could do.

  1. My Girl friend at the time lived in Davie right on the glide path too FLL. After arriving at her house from driving a limo at about 3am I noticed a plane with a huge wing span and engines landing. I thought to myself....Wow Ft Lauderdale is bringing in 777 now but then I realized to wasn't a 777. It was then when I realized it was the 787 Dreamliner! If I had known I would have taken some pictures.
